I must emphasize that vaccinated people are several times less likely to be infected by Delta than unvaccinated people. As a result, they must still be less likely to transmit COVID than an unvaccinated person. Once infected, however, it appears to be a different story.
Of course vaccinated people can still get Covid (just at a much lower rate than unvax). Of course once infected you can infect others. What's your point? And what does any of it have to do with rules in Australia? Do you want to create the rules for that country?Comment -

Cases will always go up after major holidays and large superspreader events. Covid is here to stay.
BUT, it's to the point where if you are vaccinated, the chances of hospitalization and death is extremely low. That's the main point. As long as thousands are not getting sick, filling up hospital beds and dying, we can get back to normal. Unfortunately, there's still a large number of unvaxxed people that are filling up the hospitals and dying. Just to be clear about Australia’s rising numbers: it was made a rule that all you need for a federal pandemic payment now is to report a positive RAT. Also in several states, including the two largest, they’re discouraging people from going to PCR test sites due to lengthy wait times and lack of staff due to isolation requirements. So instead you have people racing around the city trying to find very scarce and often overpriced RATs which we’re then supposed to self-report our results to a crashed website or phone line that you can’t get through.
This is the reality of what’s going on here and maybe will help shed some light on why there is zero tolerance for those who try to flaunt the rules. Actual citizens can barely comply or get shit straight but are trying for the most part. Don’t come in as a guest and think you’ll be welcomed with open arms if you don’t follow the requirements. Liberals don't like facts or numbers. Masks don't work either. You breath out the sides of them. Think about that!
I ran into a Karen today picking up my Lexus at the shop while I was inside the office paying my repair bill. My mask was below my nose because it fogs up my prescription shades that I wear. The Karen called me out on it and I was across the office from her. I was about to say something to the Karen but just raised my mask and let it slide.

Always curious about when they go home, why they submit to the tyranny again without objections? Florida has the same population centers, same mass transit, same travel/ tourism, more sports and entertainment venues and the oldest population demographic in the western hemisphere yet 3 years of a 'live life free' approach has, undoubtedly and undeniably, worked better than the approach taken by the Democrats in blue cities & State, and liberals in Countries like Canada, Germany or in this case, Australia.

Florida rocks and is doing Covid mandates the right way. NONE!! Numbers show in Florida that it's working just living life normal and with Covid. Masks and panic attacks by the far left doesn't fix anything and only makes things worse in society.
Get your vax shots if you are old and or fat and then live life normally after is the answer. Healthy and or young people do what you want. Natural immunity is KING!! Covid is NEVER going away and we need to get it and live with it eventually.

Thats an absurd comment because you have to take into account the significant demographic differ nces between the state of Florida and the country of Australia.
Florida has an enormous percentage of people over the age of 65 since the state has many large retirement communities.
The proper comparison is to look at the percentage of people over the age of 65 who have died in Florida and compare that number to the same demographic in Australia.
If you that Florida despite not shutting down or trampling on civil liberties like Australia has done jist as well as that country.
It's absurd to compare a country that has 20 percent of their population over the age of 65 to a state that has nearly 40 percent of their population over the age of 65.Comment -
