The three year thing from my understanding is "up to" but that's more of a making a statement kind of comment. They don't have to exercise the full three years. Kind of like saying 'he can go home whenever he wants' which would then concede defeat and allow the above to happen. It also makes Karen Andrews sound like a complete knob now internationally.

But the interview with ABF was super weird. Not even taking into account the stuff later but continuously suspending interviews, going back and forth to his supervisor for instructions. Dude sounded like he did not even know his own rules. The judge not being impressed by that goes to show.
