i tried looking to see exactly what i purchased but it was 2.5 years ago and doesnt show it


so i have no fukkin clue what graphics card i want it to even try to read

what other thing? and what do you mean by "use" it? if you have a separate graphics card that either came with your computer (or you later purchased it and installed it on your own) it should be immediately recognized by your system as soon as you install it. and at that point, the drivers for it get installed.

then when i plug it in there..i see nothing...it doesnt read anything...the monitor just says its not plugged in

when you plug what in where?

i bought a refurbished desktop on ebay


1tb something or other....and it took me a month or two to realize i guess a graphics card was installed and i paid for that as well


so i had to buy cables for this to work on two monitors and i only plugged it into the graphics card ( i hope im calling it the right thing)


worked fine for 2.5 years now

when the update happened at 4:01 yesterday....the computer just quit working. it restarted and nothing...monitor said it wasnt plugged in


so after troubleshooting myself....i moved the plug to the desktop itself and atleast the monitor turned on





i tried kvbs way as well before he suggested it and got this

1. is your "main computer" an old fashioned tower that stands separately from your monitor and keyboard?

2. if so, turn the tower around to its back

3. remove tower door so you can see into the guts of the tower

4. remove the graphics card that is connected into one of the slots within the tower

5. if you don't know how to do #4, take a picture of the inside of your tower and post it here. i'll instruct from there

6. if you can do #4, tell me what the label says on the graphics card (look for manufacturer and model no.)
