I'm hoping the Knicks but I don't want them to give up the farm especially RJ Barrett similar to when they traded for Carmelo AnthonyComment -

#10Lillard's only chance to win a championship is a defensive minded team... let him go on offense... but surround him with defensive talent. And if he can't win a championship... it's on him... should of been a 2-way player... and he simply can't do it.Comment -

That leaves Mavericks, heat and warriors. I’m telling you I think the warriors have enough draft picks to give Portland and as soon as Klay is healthy they won’t want to wait to build back to a contender.
Looking at this list I think it’s warriors way in the front with maybe the mavs as a dark horse. We will see but I may have to put a little money on this now that I looked it overComment -

#18Funny how he was speaking of his contempt for players that bolted. Said I'm not built that way. Turns out he is built that way. Not many players have the character to stick with the same team and endure the losing year after year.
Philly makes the most sense. Simmons for Lillard is a fair swap, all things considered.Comment -

Simmons couldn't even play in the 4th quarter of playoff games because his offense is so bad. CJ Mccollum for Ben Simmons fair swap, not Damian Lillard one of the best players in the game.

Let him run the point, Start Richardson as the off guard.
Move Luka to the front court with Zingis. Plus Dallas is going to need back court help, Hardaway Jr. is walking as an unrestricted free agent.
Cuban can't afford Hardaway Jr anyway, 28 million for a once solid Hardaway (injury prone now and it's killing his defense) would kill their budget. Hardaway was that flex guy SG/SF that's going to have to be replaced if you are going to start J- Rich at the two guard.
And the Mavs are letting Niccolo Melli walk which is no big deal really but you need an off the bench pivot dude that can give you ten minutes in a pinch.
They still have rock bottom bargain players in Finney-Smith, he's going to be leaned on harder, and Jaylen Brunson looks like he'll be that flex guard off the bench too.
They have Maxi locked up, and Stein too.
So, the 2022 Mavs bench will be Brunson at guard, Maxi, Finney Smith, and Stein as the forward/center.
Thing is after this season Finney-Smith and Brunson ain't going to be cheap any longer.
Podcasters I listen to say the Mavs may have to move Trey Burke and Powell in a trade because they don't have many draft choices.
Porzingis is the perfect third man behind Lillard and Luka, and Lillard would take the spot light off Luka.
The Mavs have no idea what the phrase "team defense means"
I already knew their defense was a liability but just for shits and giggles I pulled up the defensive team metrics from this past season.
Because that's the kind of nerdy geek that I am.
Yeah, just what I thought. Real bad team defense.
You know the Mavs played 72 regular season game this past season.
66 times (in 72 games) opposing offenses have scored 90 plus points on them, almost all of those 66 were over 100 points allowed.
They gave up that 147 point game earlier this year to GSW.
That's a disgrace.
Just as disgraceful is the Mavs gave up 130 or more points in seven different games.
Average Mavs score was 112-110
Over the Mavs defensive team rating was over 110 (20th out of 30)
Regarding Lillard, here in the Northeast the scuttlebutt is Dinwiddie wants out of Brooklyn (can you not blame him) he wants to play at home in Cali, and Lillard could be a Net. (but don't they have Kyrie under lock and key)
Also the rumor is Brooklyn wants Bouchard from the Raptors.
And yeah, that idiot Dolan wants Lillard read bad too.
You know he's owned the Knicks (and Madison Square Garden since 1999)
In 22 years he still hasn't learned a thing on how basketball works.
If it wasn't for his old mans Cablevison money he'd be a middle manager pencil pushing puppet in some factory.
MSG is a cash cow, it makes money all by itself, am autistic child can be a figure head of that giant and take the credit for it.
Any way, in the past 22 years he's owned the Knicks he's 734 and 1028 (bot quite 42 %)
22 seasons, eight dead last finishes, just one division title in 22 years.
15 times in 22 seasons never made the playoffs in a league where virtually every teams makes the playoffs.
Of the seven times his team made the playoffs just once did the reach the Conference finals and that was in 2000.
(His first year of ownership) That was a very entertaining Conference Finals. I was working in NYC that summer.
Pacers v. Knicks and every sports bar was packed like sardines in the Village in NYC.
And it was loud.
We hated Indiana.
We hated everything about the Pacers.
We hated Travis Best, we hated Jalen Rose, we hated Harrington.
The only Pacer that got a free pass was Mark Jackson, that's only because he's one of our very own NYC boys.
But you know who we really hated?
Reggie Miller.
Eight million New Yorkers hated Reggie Miller.
So did Spike Lee, so did Sprewell, but than again Sprewell hated everybody.
Allan Houston hasted him too, and Charlie Ward, and the big man Patrick Ewing as well.
Grandpapa Larry Johnson couldn't stomach Reggie Miller also.
The best part of that series was when Joey Crawford and Hue Hollins were ready to throw out Reggie Miller and Spike Lee from the arena.
The good old NYC days I tell ya.
The year before Dolan and his Cablevision bought MSG the Knicks went to the NBA finals only to get schooled by the Spurs.
The year later his Cablevision money bought out the whole shooting match.
Seven playoff appearances in 22 years.
Only once was a Conference Finals.
Five out of those seven NYK were bounced out in the first round.
Eight seasons of dead last finishes.
14 different head coaches.

This guy does nothing well but get shots up off the dribble very easy to defend because he dominates the ball
He’s a stat guy they don’t win
