In extra innings i think a base runner on first base could be better idea so a decent hit is required to score a run at least

Maybe after 9 innings have a home run contest. Each team picks 5 players to hit home runs. Whichever teams scores more home runs wins!

I like the man on second to be honest. Extra inning games that end when a team that runs out of players and plays the pitcher is hard to handicap live. Then also extra innings was leading to teams getting in big spots and having the pitcher have to hit because they ran out of bench players.

I suspect many a bettor got screwed on unders this year with the man on second method in extra innings.

And players were getting opportunities to get stats that they probably shouldn't have gotten.

Bingo!...Pitching machine set to 85mph which is reloaded by a little leaguer. (Good for young baseball players)
Fans who catch the ball get free tickets to next game behind dugout and get to have that ball signed by that player who hit the HR(Good for fans)

Extra innings rule is reasonable. Who the hell wants to sit through a 5-hour 16 inning game. I wonder who is pushing to end the rule. It couldn't be the players or the owners because it benefits both of them.

I love the extra innings rule! Ending it is a mistake. A 15+ inning game screws up a teams bullpen for a week plus it guarantees tension and action. Baseball often lacks action! The Reds game on Sunday started at 2:10pm and went past 5:30 and that was a low scoring 9 inning game. These guys need rest and need to stay healthy. Nobody wants divisions and titles decided by injury

And they want to bring back 15+ inning games where the hitters arms are all burned out?

SB winner was decided by injury imo and now they want to go 17 games? Its amazing these guys can't see their hands in front of their face?

David Bakhtiari goes down late for GB and then suddenly the pass rush could get to Rodgers. TB barely won anyway. That injury kept Rodgers from #2 imo.

I actually like the extra inning runner on 2nd. Was great for live betting. Seemed to be the only MLB bets I hit. 7 inning double headers took away flow of a regular game.

What was wrong with the 7 inning double header? I also had no problem with the runner on second, let’s get this shit over with mentality. Granted I had a lot more success with bets that went to extras with the runner on second rule than I did with the old fashioned way. I took some RUTHLESS extra inning beats with the traditional rules.

After the 9th inning, it should goto 1 pitch per batter. If it's a ball, take 1st. If it is a swing and a miss or a taken strike, you are out. Foul ball, original rules apply. Here is your pitch, hit it.
