This was a game the Cubs couldn't afford to blow and yet Ross leaves Arrieta in there to give up 5 by the 2nd inning? Seems fishy to me? Personally I don't think the Cubs ever wanted to compete this year because they want to dump salary at the trade deadline and thats hard to do if you're only 3 games out. I don't follow the Cubs on a daily basis, but was Bryant hurt today? No other reason he shouldn't be playing in a game this big.

Cubs are comically bad! The Brewers spotted the Scrubs 7 and had them doubled by the end of the 4th inning - tough to do! Their pitching is a trainwreck - 2B Eric Sogard may have had the team's best "pitching" line today LOL!
