I posted Tampa +750 to win the stanley cup, i didn't see anyone else posting those odds. Sure, now they're expected to win, but I envisioned this long prior.

Just don't forget that Tampa hasn't lost b2b games in the playoffs in 2 years. So the odds of Montreal winning 2 games in a row, which they'll pretty much have to do, are low. And championship experience certainly matters. If you like history, and you look through history, most teams that win the cup the year before, and are in the same position a year after, win the cup.

I don't think Tampa was one of the favorites to win, and I don't remember when I took that bet during the playoffs, but if they were one of the favs I don't think they'd be +750. Avs were definitely a big favorite. Toronto too. Probably Vegas. Maybe Pit. I think most ppl wrote off the champs but they forgot that Kucherov is one of the 5 best players in the world.

to hedge a bit you’ll get a good number on the other side.. I don’t see you doing that as you seem to

Because I think it was assumed that Kucherov, who is arguably the best player in the league, wasn't going to play. I don't know what the odds were, I just know that when I placed that bet, several teams were ahead of them.

It's not worth it to hedge. It's only a 100 dollar bet to win 750. In hindsight, with how much I bet on stupid shit, I should have at least put 400 on this.

I'm not saying Tampa is those teams, but Tampa has some guys that are about to go into the hall of fame when their careers are over. If Tampa wins this year, and wins again next year, I'm pretty sure they'll be the first team to do that in like 4 decades, which means they are one of the best teams of all time, and certainly the best team of this era.

Kucherov Stamkos is the best duo in the NHL today. Everyone loves McDavid, but Kucherov is the most clutch playoff performer of the last 5 years.
