If he "pays commission" with his risk and lays $529 he's putting nearly 6% extra risk on that game than the other. Is that justified? Not the end of the world, but in general it is better for business to keep control of your risk, and keep it flat each bet, so the bookie is the one with his risk flying around, not the bettor.

You do have a slightly valid point though. I do not bet 1-2% of my bankroll but rather 5-10% & sometimes a bit more & I understand that’s not the best way to go about things. Remember I’m not a volume bettor I take a lot of breaks for various of reasons. 40 dollars a game will not make ends meet for the amount of games I play in a months time.

Jack Flaherty is 8-0 with a 2.53 ERA & has won 8 straight outings throwing quality starts in 7 of those games pitched. On the other side of the mound Lucas Gilito is 3-4 with an ERA of 4.35 & is coming off his best performance of the season throwing well over a 100 pitches. The White Sox bullpen has been heavily utilized during the past couple of games while the Cards bullpen are better rested in my opinion. I think this will be a close game & I’m hoping the Cards to pull this out late and I see value taking the dog here.
