What do you think his chances of getting in the Hall are, Steve?

      Nil.

I really liked him as a player.
He always had a pretty good glove but fact of the matter is he didn't hit for average, he never led the league in any relevant category in 14 years. He doesn't check all the boxes that are relevant. He was only dominant from 2012-2017 (not nearly long enough)

      He was good, very good.
Not good enough for the Hall though.

Dwight Evans had a career similar to Jay Bruce except Evans did it for 20 years and was a better all around player.

Evans hit .30 higher than Bruce, hit more HR's and won those 8 gold gloves for being the dominant defensive right fielder in his generation.
And Evans couldn't even sniff a Hall vote.

                          Yeah I'll say.
In 2017 something happened, he was not even a AAA caliber player from 2017 to now.

                              I'm suspicious.
Those were lofty numbers he put eight, ten years ago.
