I would say if you have a batting average around 270 you are producing the goods yearly in baseball

That's terrible
NBA players basically hit 320 every year, 34 hrs and 110 RBI's if you compare each sport
A guy like Harper makes tons of money and any minor leaguer making 100K can do basically same thing if he played daily
There are tons of Harpers too that are average based off salary

MLB baseball players are paid off past performance when they were underpaid. Owners get young players cheap and then overpay older players because they are not smart enough to know when a player is going to decline. It is part of the bargain. If you just have one-year contracts, you can get it right.

Just take a look at Judge technically he’s comparable to a guy like curry in the NBA curry produce i10 times more than judge does they’re not even in the same league
Yankees are going to make a massive mistake giving him a big contract

Yeah, MLB players are basically 50% free throw shooters, won't shoot three and they average less than 1 point, 1 rebound, 1 block and 1 steal per game each.
And they never get dunks.

It is part of the deal. Part of the reason they are paying them so much on long-term deals is they are saying: "OK, we know you were underpaid so we will give you this for this long if you sign with us." They just wind up paying it on the back end.

Just the facts JACK. If you take the time to read.
Hitting a baseball is the hardest skill to pull off in sports. Here’s why.
There are few aspects of life where you can fail seven out of 10 times and still be considered great at what you do. But in baseball, if you get a hit 30 percent of the time you step up to the plate, you might be headed to the Hall of Fame—and that’s because it’s perhaps the most difficult thing to do in any major sport.

Is this a joke? At least the MLB guys play every night. 162 games. NBA players play zero defense and half of them sit for “rest” so they can rub their pussy and flex their new chain on the sideline.

Anyone can hit a free throw but not many can hit the ball out of the infield and make it to first base. Baseball is much harder.

I'll agree with that I think the pro baseball plateua is tougher to reach than that of basketball.
But based in the amount of work they do, I just think MLB players are vastly overpaid

Most MLB player should make is maybe 5 million
Tons Latins players can do same thing in big leagues but not allowed because GM's would lose their jobs sitting Harper to play better play in minors
This is every team

i hope they don't. i would let him go if he asks for something really high. he can take his new teeth and go be overpaid somewhere else.

NBA players get paid to go through the motions and play the last five minutes.
MLB plays nine or more innings.

You don't do anything in baseball. You can be 300 pounds and be a top baseball player. The most you do is run a 40 yard dash lol. Basketball players run 500 40 yard dashes per game.
Curry runs like 3-4 miles every game. Those aren't jogging 4 miles, those are sprints.

7 billion people on the planet
Less than 20,000 of them have ever made the roster of a MLB team
That’s why they get paid a lot (most have a 4-5 year career where they never make more than $500K a year).
Oh and I forgot hitting a 98 mph fastball. It’s kinda difficult

Stand in the field, get a ball hit to them now & then, sit in the dugout, go to bat 3-4 time per game.
Don't get me wrong many MLB players are just as good or better athletes as NBA, NFL, etc, but they take the east way/sport out.

Baseball not a big difference minor leaguers compared to big leaguers as far as hitting and fielding
Many 100K guys can do the same thing as 10 million guys
Other sports big difference
Also pitchers and catchers tough positions but that is it
Trout one of only modern players who deserves the money
