Cuban knows that the protests were costing him money. He wanted to get rid of the anthem and stop giving the anti-American players a platform.

I am all for cancelling anthems in all sports. Don't need to hear O Canada every hockey game, I just want to watch a game.

A few years ago I was at a poker room and there was about a 2 hour discussion on Kap and the kneeling.

"if you can't stand for the anthem you should leave the country" and on and on.

Then the Anthem came on before a playoff game, and I stood up and took off my hat while all of these disingenuous pricks sat on their fat asses and looked at me like I was crazy.

About sums up the whole anthem debate.

Cuban played the national anthem at his game last night and he will continue to do so going forward regardless of his opinion he can't fight City Hall, Silver sent out a friendly reminder that the anthem was to be played before all games. Cuban is a big deal, in fact he's bigger than life but he is not bigger than the commissioner.
