He was big and had a rocket for an arm and never played college football and was instantly an elite QB at the highest level of competition. Obvious potential and obviously not much reason for Haskins to stay in college when he could get paid big bucks instead of making money for Ohio State.

He is Johnny Manziel except bigger and with a strong arm.

This an organization that has kept accused rapists, woman beaters, drug abusers, and players arrested for gun violations on their payrolls. The problem with QB that make a living by scrambling is this. They have a very short life expectancy in the NFL. The best QB this season is the rookie Charger QB Justin Herbert. Playing on a team with a pathetic Head Coach who did not start him until game 2 and did not cut him loose until game 5, he still managed to throw for over 4000 yards with a game left. If the Chargers even hire a solid Head Coach and a solid Offensive Coordinator, this kid will be a great one in two years time.

They would all be drafted with the top pick. Those guys were elite QBs and had great careers.

Cunningham was the single most unprepared QB for the NFL I have ever seen. He was not even a second rounder but an incredible arm and great athlete.

Haskins was just a dumb pick. But he was huge and had a great arm and that guy gets drafted in the first round every time. Coaches are suckers for those guys.
