The game actually does not mean anything because it’s very early and by the end of the year teams are totally different this is why I am a professional

#46Iowa catching points? Thats a no Brainerd. Zags will overlook iowa as just a bunch of white guys and will get dismantled by said white guys and realize white dudes can ball and shoot. Zags keep close but Iowa pulls away with experience and lights out shooters late. Bank itComment -

#48big picture, their main issue is going to be guys blowing by them on the wings and off the dribble with those same guys being able to guard them on the perimeter. of course, there's not many teams who can accomplish such against them but it'll become more apparent during tourney time and when facing athletic lengthy teams with great playmakers
now, Iowa will (or at least should) have somewhat of a counter for that - against such opponents they'll play a lot of zone and hope their perimeter shooting fails. however, the zone will keep them susceptible on the glass which is an area they're not terribly strong in to begin with
naturally, this matchup with the Zags is going to be a great example of such a scenario with the Zags' strengths of bigs, inside/outside game, ball handling, and glass work. if the Hawkeyes 3-pt shooting dips to around 32-34% and the Zags can run them off the line a bit, they'll be in some trouble. that said, the Zags defense hasn't impressed to this pointComment -

#49Iowa struggles mightily when Garza has foul trouble. If he has to sit for a 5 minute stretch or more - ballgame. Zags would blow the doors off em. Too much of a wildcard to play on Iowa. Zags -4 would be a gift. Think we'll see this closer to 6...6' by tip.
Iowa has put up some points this year though, against - Nobody.Comment -

#53North Carolina isn't anyone? They have 4 guys 6-11 who start. How did athletic tall players fair against Iowa? Iowa doesn't back down. Very upper class with lots of game experience. Iowa wins this by 10+Comment -

#56UNC out-boarded Iowa by 9, difference was UNC was extremely careless with the ball and combined that with terrible perimeter D
Zags bigs are far more polished than UNC's and they take care of the ball better
i have no lean on this game at this time (maybe the Over if it's not ridiculously inflated) but am extremely excited for itComment -

#57West Virginia is a top 10 defense year in and out - including this year, so far to date if you like metrics.
Zags hung 87 on em.
Kansas is a top 10 defensive team this year per the stats as well.
Zags hung 102 on the them.
Zags team total will be something of interest as well.Comment -

#59I think if you like a play on Iowa, ya might as well parlay it with the over.
No chance Iowa wins or covers unless this game gets up around 190.
Edit: if you have a local that doesn't mind a correlated...Comment -

#63Good question - no clue here. I'm anxious to see what the Zags team total rolls out at. I think they'll get theirs for sure. I don't see Iowa scoring 90, but yet wouldn't be surprised at Gonzaga hangin 105...
Gotta feeling we'll see a reverse line movement on the total come Saturday. Public over....Comment -

#64yeah if it gets too out of hand i'll just play the Under small and then hope at least one of the teams realizes that playing a more controlled tempo with half court sets could be more beneficialComment -
