#5He’s finished. Pittsburgh got the best years and production out of him. The Chargers should pick him up. The Chargers just need someone to take the pressure off the passing game.Comment -

#13Yes... and he left the franchise tag money on the table of $14 million and had the same Jets deal from Pittsburgh on the table with $2 million less guaranteed. This cost him a lot of money. He’d be finishing up the Steelers $70 million offer in 2 years and probably still productive to get a decent deal. Instead it’s 1 year out and 2 years in a garbage system situation and now he’s mostly washed up. Who would take on that headache?Comment -

#21He got around 25 million guaranteed from the Jets and barely played
He lost a year's pay with Pitt to do so, and probably would have stayed there awhile if he signed their deal, but would have been used a ton and been abused
His next deal will determine if he really screwed himself financially or not, but for a guy who really hasn't really played football for awhile, he's doing pretty wellComment -

#22No thanks, Freeman can hold down the fort until Bark comes back.
Than after six games back Bark will pull a hammy or something along those lines and wind up back on the I/R list again.
I heard the Freeman presser a few weeks back when the G-Men signed him, he had a few better offers on the table but said the Giants was a better situation for me.
Now regarding Bell, I always liked watching him in the backfield when he was in his prime.
He and Matt Forte were a couple of my favorite backs.
Unlike Brown who is genuine fruit loops I think Bell is a good guy that made horrible business decisions.Comment -

He definitely has lost money by not signing with Pittsburgh
But my point was he made some good money and barely played and wasn't risking his health
He would have been worthless after 5 years in Pitt because he touched the ball so much
He might be able to make some more money now because he isn't totally used up, although his attitude might prevent that
A normal human could live off what he has now, but.........Comment -

#28The Steelers continue to prove why they are one of the best run organizations in sports.
It's always team first.
When was the last time the Steelers didn't show up for a game that didn't involve new England?Comment -
