#111they got lucky with the late foul call and heat missing last shot then playing bad in OT letting khris get his shots
butler said they relaxed 2nd half and they were still up 100-92 in 4th before playing bad for a stretchComment -

#117What a stupid comment. Dragic is the 2nd leading scorer for the HEAT so yes it would impact the line. And his absence would have an exponential affect on the series price whereas an injury to a Bucks player would affect just 1 game since they are facing elimination. People just can't admit they're wrong even when it laid out neatly in front of them.Last edited by freelee; 09-07-20, 12:47 PM.Comment -

#119What are you talking about Bucks are now almost 6 to 1 to win the series they were +110 in game 4 so obviously you would have got better odds than 9.5 to 1 betting each game and rolling it over. Like you said tho people just can't admit they're wrong even when it laid out neatly in front of them lol.Comment -

#121IBetYou spelled it out perfectly but let me explain to you the real fallacy of rollover parlays. Instead of making my 1K to win $9500 bet yesterday and I just bet that 1K on gm 4 & kept rolling over the winnings on each game at some point, either before gm 6 or 7, I might just not be willing to risk all my winnings & just cash out once it gets high enough. Now maybe that would have been the smart thing to do but at least this locks in a specific dollar amount I know I could win.Comment -

#122You don't get it. I'll try spelling it out for you in more simple terms. Suppose it was a best of 19 series and the HEAT were up 9-0, such that the Bucks need to win 10 straight. Now 10 straight is approx 1000-1. You're not going to get close to 1000-1 on that because if the HEAT were to lose their MVP (Butler) to an ankle injury that would make the Bucks a fantastic bet to win the series. Get it?Comment -

#124He's already been proven wrong in this particular case it's a fact not guessing anything you would have got about 12 to 1 if you bet money line game 4 and than future bet afterwards. I still think you'll get better than 6 to 1 rolling over your bet the rest of the way but we'll probably not get to find out.Comment -

#126You actually just spelled it out for yourself you're fine betting the parlay but not rolling over the full amount each time think about that. Also why wouldn't you want that option if you decide to change your mind rather than betting the Heat game 6 or 7 and losing more to the juice.
Go back to my initial reply to your comment, that is the beginning and end of it. The volatility of injuries means bookies can't merely multiply the assumed game prices for a series price. That's all there is too it. V.simple to understand really. Bookies don't act like carnies at a fairground, there is a reason behind their prices -they are competing with each other!Comment -

#128Read my posts. I bet the Bucks to win that game. I said I didn't think they'd win the series. I don't like parlays at all.

#129Ah OK.
You're suggesting because the league MVP turned his ankle in game 4 that betting the series price was bad? Well that's just luck -and not with an exponential affect as would be the case in a HEAT player getting hurt. The odds for game 5 are inflated because he is questionable.
And no I don't want to answer that Dragic question. I say Xpts and you say you disagree -what's the point? This has turned into a work shop anyway, more interesting things to think aboutComment -

#131Does it even need to be said that all these Bucks Futures(apx $7600) are OF COURSE at 5dimes? Only one I could collect on Is Bucks to beat the Heat $1000 to win $9500. LAL or LAC with MIL FUTURE($44K either or) will simply get refunded if it's still pending by the 25th even if it winds up winning. You know what that means it's definitely winning, so I guess on the bright side at least I'll win this $9500 bet. Not even joking
so CONGRATS Milwaukee on the only team to come back from down 0-3. It is official. And finally 5dimes says its still servicing other countries so I just emailed them asking if I get establish residency in another country( Mexico or Canada) so they don't void the 44K bet in case it wins. Patiently waiting for their response.Comment -

#132I'm about as pessimistic as it usually gets betting on a team down 0-3, but now that he's for game 5, Bucks definitely winning this game! Hopefully he'll be out for game 6, do his little Willis Reed Cameo in game 7 to inspire the team & this bet will definitely cash.Comment -

#140I'm not one to duck and run & then ghost a losing thread that you could clearly say blew up in my face. Yes I did lose about $7600 on 9 different Bucks futures & it's fair to say I started chasing a bunch of dead money when they were down 3-0 by betting another 2K. In all fairness I made the 1st of these bets MIL/LAL Final $2715 to win $8285 back in February before any shutdown or bubble talk when MIL was a prohibitive favorite. At that point I started adding to the bet even though the value was gone based on the bubble, cuz an 11K balance would've been nice but not nearly enough to withdraw 10 or 15K and leave 10K in there. At least with 5dimes shutting down it takes some of the sting away since I wouldn't have gotten paid out on my futures anyway. The one silver lining is I just got an 8th on the house deposit free play for $955. Got it up up to $2044, just cashed out $1089 BTC & bet the original $955 on Rublev to win the Open @+1875 to win $17,900. It was between him, Pironkova @+5000 or Powerball Jackpot Winner tonight @+1750. Pretty sure none of these are gonna hit but what the hell it was essentially a free play cuz I can't withdraw the original 8th on the house($955) only the winnings which I actually never knew. That's all I got fellas, sorry about the verbal diarrhea, & finally to quote the dushbag on the Net Worth Tennis Podcast, "Good luck in all your wagers!"Comment
