When the ref stops the fight is irrelevant. The time on the tv screen is irrelevant. What matters is what the official timekeeper decides is the time and what the ring announcer declares is the official result. The official result on the WBA's official results page is the fight was stopped AFTER 1:31 of Round 6. Officially there was 1:29 remaining in Round 6. For betting purposes the fight went OVER 5.5 Rounds. Wikipedia has the same result. I haven't checked the WBC or IBF page. The YouTube links i've looked at don't include the official result being read by the announcer. The only way I see this being overturned is if someone posts the full fight video with the official ring announcement saying something else.

Depends when it ended in 6th correct? If it ended in the 1st 1:30 of the 6th then under 5.5 should cash.

Yeah Banker, my earlier posts in this thread were from me looking at a different line. I apologized for it.

I was confuse early on, even if this post you quoted turns out to be the right answer.

I thought we were looking at the UNDER here, but an official result may say otherwise.

Careful Banker, earlier posts in this thread were coming while books were sorting things out and there was still smoke on the battlefield.

The top of page 3 here starts what looks like the final conversation with this.

There may not have been an acutal 10 count there.

At least I don't think so. Crazy at the buzzer finish.

My bad, I only read 1st page and replied to the post that felt warranted to do so. Lol. As I said in my last post it sounds as if it was incredibly close. I need to get to page 2 and 3 to see the rest! The suspense is killing me now! Lol.

Gotcha. Working my way there now! Just found the dispute interesting enough to start chiming in before even reading all way thru! Cause from my experience those half round over/unders can get really dicey! Been quite some time since I bet one that was so close. As I mentioned you can have a guy go down before the half way point in a round but by time the count over and bell rings it has passed the 1:30 mark!

See to me that feed appears to me to be exactly what I mentioned. He went down before the half way point but fight wasn’t officially over until after the half way point in the round, so I would assume the over 5.5 cashed and under lost.

It’s basically impossible to say when ref officially stopped the fight isn’t it? He did not do a good job which just adds even more to the confusion!

Aside from that those were a couple filthy body shots! That right hook then followed by the left upper cut to the body were textbook! I love body shot knockouts! Had he been digging into dudes body all fight?

It is really hard to determine when the fight is officially stopped isn’t it? Ref didn’t even count? Very strange.

That a really tough one. Imo Very hard to say when it officially over! I’d be pissed if I lost with the under or the over! Lol. Shitty spot for everyone involved. How did op book end up grading?

They let the clock run, so it was quickly under 1:30 and that's probably what happened at BM when the graded.

He wasn’t very definitive with the stoppage tho so leaves room for interpretation.

I think it's a big reason this thread exists.

I think the OP has a complaint form in, but it might not go his way.

Anyone know if BM switched back to the OVER as a win?

Easy for me to say cause I got no skin in the game but really think it a tough one to argue either way. As long as they paying out one side the other obviously has to lose, and I dunno which ruling would be just?

my over is still a loss at bookmaker... pretty much every other book in the world graded the over as a win

Yeah I had the Over too and Bookmaker still has it a loss. They even told me when I asked on Tuesday that it was clearly under. I disagree with that but I don't think they're going to change it again after they originally graded it a win and later changed it to a loss.

Yeah it's tough because he literally knocked him down right at the halfway point of the round. It really wasn't clear when that fight was stopped and at first I thought I won when I watched it but I wasn't sure at the same time because it was so close.
