Kristin Cavallari is divorcing Jay Cutler in part because she was sick of the former NFL star lying around the house, Page Six is told.
The “Hills” star married Cutler in 2013 when he was a quarterback with the Chicago Bears, and we’re told she thought he was lined up for a demanding career as a sports broadcaster after he hung up his cleats.
But sources say that after his broadcasting career faltered, the ever-ambitious Cavallari, who announced in late April that the pair were splitting, found him “unmotivated” and even “lazy” — while he found that he had a penchant for hanging out with their three kids and menagerie of animals on their Tennessee farm.
The source added that Cavallari “views herself as very polished and put together, and [Cutler as] this lazy, unmotivated guy.”
According to court documents, Cavallari is claiming that it’s too much living under the same roof as Cutler at this stage, and want to move into a nearby mansion in Franklin, Tennessee. Jay reportedly rejected Cavallari’s request, stating that she can move to one of the other properties the two own instead.
The home Cavallari desires was initially listed for $6.1 million in 2018, is now asking $5 million for it’s 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 6,911 sq. foot digs.
Cavallari is allegedly demanding that the former NFL quarterback stop freezing accounts to prevent her from buying a new home.
Cutler filed for divorce on April 21, seeking legal and joint custody of their kids. Cavallari responded with a counter-complaint for divorce seeking primary custody of the kids, also accusing Cutler of infidelity during the marriage. Cavallari also wants a cut of the retired QB’s retirement money, as well as monthly child support.
