Do You Guys Realize The Lock Down Is Unconstitutional
Would never hold up in court shutting down a restaurant or going to work
We should of had a choice to stay in or go out

Call it a "soft" Martial Law. They're testing the American People's tolerance.

A lot of places around the country defied the orders. Restaurants, gyms, hair salons in states like TX, MO, IL. The news will of course downplay that though.

You are not locked down. Go to whatever restaurant you want or go to work if you want. Who is stopping you?

Incorrect
The governor can issue a emergence order then impose any rules they like during the order.

Yeah, the constitution doesn't take a day off even during pandemics. Its about time for Americans to wake the fuk up and take back the country. If your scared of the wuflu then lock yourself in because things could get nasty especially in the blue states that just gave orders to stay at home for another month. Glad that I did buy that AR 3 years ago. I heard in Philly businesses have been looted left and right. If I had a business there I would be living inside the property with my security self defense weapon and plenty of ammo.

Agreed. Business were forced to close, but it seems here in Cali, especially the central valley, many businesses have just used the back door.
But few rights have really been violated across the country, despite what it sounds like on social media.
lol.

He once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." That quote often comes up in the context of new technology.
Good read.

I recently saw a restaurateur (in a Pelosi type manner) tearing a court order requiring her to shutter her business.
Seems as though civil disobedience in not only the domain of the left.

Agreed, but we might get into legal issues when they start saying what businesses can open and what must stay closed.
Health and safety measures aside, not sure that type of discrimination is going to go unnoticed.
I all mixed up about it. I'd hate to see a spike and panic that screws my business any further.

essential liberty is code for the right of the government to tax ppl? according to that article the quote actually means:
"those who would give up larger future earnings to receive smaller immediate earnings deserve neither future earnings nor present earnings."

It was about the context of the actual quote and how it's been applied more recently.
I pretty much thought all of this was common knowledge by now.
It was about the Penn family buying off the gov't.
But the words themselvles seem to have aged really well, and can seemingly apply to so many things now.

It seems like, as privacy issues came up, this was revealed more and more to become almost trivial info by now.
So yeah, many should know the quote by now.
I suppose it's a surprise to some still. That's what life's about, learning.
