Mel Kiper Jr & His First Round Predictions
Mel Kiper Jr is an absolute joke! All he does is study for the draft 365 days of the year and averages getting 4-5 correct each year. In fact I can't remember the last time he got 6 correct. A monkey could have done better. 80% of the public thought Burrow was going to the Bengals, Young to Washington, Tua to Miami and Justin Herbert to the LA Chargers. That means of the other 28 teams he got all of 1 more correct. He got 5 correct out of 32. That's actually good for him as he usually only gets 4 out of 32 correct. It's time to replace this epic failure!

hey Patrick, the mock drafts you see on large media platforms are all just value based templates, to give you an idea of how much a certain player is valued either in general or by that specific team. like always, they are trying to create the narrative for you based on "sources" on the inside. the only media people you should ever listen to is local guys, period. but I could tell you that even those guys have zero clue on what a team will do in a draft. it is far too dynamic in nature to predict picks beyond the top 10. nearly impossible. like getting a perfect March madness bracket.

It's too much misinformation put out there and too much information that has nothing to do with actual football. No way does anyone pick Henry Ruggs III the number 1 WR based on watching actual football in 2019. No one.

LOL. Mel Kiper projects who first rounders are going to be and then he grades teams on how well they did. That is how he has made his living since the early 80s. He invented his own job. He just makes a guess of who the teams might draft based on how good the players are. The job of figuring out who a team is going to draft is a reporter's.

They don't really hire Kiper for the 1st round anyway. They have him to talk about the other rounds because he can talk about every player in the draft and project who teams might have on the board.

Teams are just outsmarting themselves. There are no secret gems just laying around anymore. Everyone knows everything about everyone, it’s just a matter of how bad you want a player. No one would have traded up in the first round to get Ruggs III. If he falls to you then great, but taking him as the number 1 wr based on watching actual football is just asinine. This guy was was the 3rd or 4th option on a powerhouse team yet a team believes this can be their go to guy. The comparisons to Tyreke Hill are ridiculous.

Get back with me in 5 years and still tell me Ruggs III is the go to guy on ANY playoff team or if he is the best receiver from this draft. It won’t take 5 years but that’s what you should expect from your 1st round draft pick. He should be a difference maker or one of the best players from this draft especially at his position.

No one knows anything. The teams just throw out smoke screens so no one steals their guy.

Kiper is there for entertainment and to give u particulars about each player. That is it.

So as far as entertainment he is one of the best there is.
