So you're telling me if I violate the stay at home order, I can be arrested.
But, you are letting people out of jail so they don't get Covid-19.

I certainly did not tell you that. And highly doubtful anyone with any authority over you told you that. Almost certainly if anyone told you that, they had no clue and you chose to believe them. I've been leaving the house everyday, with no possibility of being arrested for it.

The governor's in several states have stated you can be arrested for being out when it's not necessary. Are they enforcing it, I don't know but they can arrest you.

What state do you live in? And where are you seeing this?
From what I can tell, it looks like only the mayor of DC (not a governor) has come anywhere close to this. And that was almost two weeks ago and never moved forward with it.
Without any more evidence than this, it is obviously just another example of people being emotional rather than using any logical thinking.

I can’t believe anyone will be arrested for being out in public as long as they are obeying social distancing guidelines. And even then, probably just warnings would be given.

it would be like spending a half hour in the mayberry jail. aunt bee will bring you supper and the key is just hanging within reach. just don't forget to close the cell door when you leave.

No, unless you're in a big group. The cops cannot pull you over or question you based on being out in it's own. There has to be probable cause. It's not Marshall law yet.
Yes people are being let out and I don't get it but yeah.

There are towns here that have initiated curfews with a $750 fine or 14 days in jail...Our governor is going to early release 400+ from our state prisons next week..
They must quarantine at home for 14 days..

Are you intentionally trying to make it hard for anyone to believe you? Let us know which towns are doing this.
Looks like it is happening on Navajo land, which I'm guessing falls under tribal sovereignty. Can't find this going on anywhere else in the US:
YOu will not be arrested but you can be cited. The governments need the money. They could care less about you as a person. If you are dumb enough to get yourself into a situation like that to begin with, you deserve what you get.

I love how so many people come here making these claims and then refusing to say which jurisdiction. Either tell us where people are being fined simply for not staying at home, or stop making up these obvious lies.
Running a business open to the public, public gatherings, trespassing, etc. All of those are reasons for possibly being fined. Simply not staying at home is not one of them in the US
