They are confined to the northern area inc. Milan.
Roads blocked, no fly zone for at least 2 weeks.
I think the genie is out of the bottle. One projection is 20-60% world wide infection rate. 3-4% mortality rate. Mostly the old.
The young are almost immune.

I'm supposed to be in Portugal and Spain Second week of April, and flying jn to Florence Easter morning. We had a day planned in Parma which is just inside the "red zone". Restrictions put in place through April 3rd, but if they extend it guess we are screwed. Airline not canceling flights as of yet...

Heard a guy on the radio saying that we need to stop touching our faces to help bring this down. Kind of reminded me when Obama was telling us to check our tire pressures to combat gas prices.

Kind of reminds me of the Orioles game a couple of years ago when they had the riots.

We did 2 weeks over there back in November. If you aren't already going and have the flexibility try to make it to Granada, I think it was my favorite Spanish city. Lisbon was fantastic as well

enioy yourself at another location. not worth going and being quarantined then yourself.
that is the fear now. you go somewhere and they do a quarantine and you are stuck somewhere longer without meds you need.
they act like the virus kills people in an hour of exposure with no way to combat it.

Thanks. Appreciate the info. Will def. Be in Lisbon and Porto. Spain itin is flexible. Way I see it is by April US will be probably 10's of thousands cases anyway, so why not go? If airline cancels flights and full refunds ok. Otherwise im going.

I love Italy. Great wine. Great food. Great history. Terrible politics though. They have a lot of older folks so this virus is hurting them more. Italians have been one of the greatest contributors to America.

The scary thing about this is the % of new cases worldwide are increasing daily.
Until it levels off I will horde and be very wary.
The way it shakes down today, it spells depression on a major scale.

Italy starting to get over run with Muslim immigrants pouring in these days (1,400,000). It's changed the demographics in parts. Not like it use to be. It's got a middle east feel in alot of areas just put it that way now.
