Vegas Insider has the open at 8???
Anyway, it seems ridiculous. The teams are very familiar w each other schemes and Brees hasn't had a lot of success vs Zimmer (like Rodgers, struggles for the stats).
Saints can run but Vikes D pretty good on turf.
Seems like too many points for a pair of veteran playoff teams.

Fatty you fail to mention 1 key factor with the Vikings......Their Defense blows. Middle of the pack all the way around.

Agreed. Think he’s regressed the last third of the season.

Agreed, think the line should be -6.5. Cousins is actually having a pretty solid season. Overall, Vikings are a good team, they can hang with the Saints.

The Rams gave the Vikings a gift losing to San Francisco. Otherwise the perennial hang wringing and gripping would have been happening in Minny and they probably miss the playoffs.

The Vikes are going to get rolled. Minneapolis Miracle revenge game. Secondary is middle of the road this year. Brees is going to pick them apart. Thomas has monster game. Heyward makes Cousins fumble at least once. Saints with the better O, better D, better turnover margin. Went to bet Saints -7.5 at +$ and line moved before I could confirm. Saints going to be in every wild card weekend parlay and teaser.

The Vikes are not fooling anybody with their RPO's. Everybody is showing 6 in the box and backing off when the ball is snapped. The play is never right for the coverage.
Zimmer wants people to worry about stopping the run and then being able to pass. Teams can stop their run anytime they want to - Just put six in the box. Then they have to pass - screwed again. BTW, Vikings do not throw deep. Cannot pass block that long.
It is just too easy to read whether the Vikings are going to run or pass. The offensive scheme needs to be more aggressive which it cannot do with Zimmer.

They already played a game since the Minneapolis Miracle, which the Saints won. How many times does a team play a "revenge game" until they're properly avenged?

Cousins beats the bad teams and loses to the good ones; Saints or nothing and I think the line will drop a little.

Saints win and cover. Then the next weekend they have no shot of winning at Lambeau.

Cousins ended his Viking career with that pick on Monday night football with his team in the lead. He can’t win or even keep a game like this close.
Then you have the Zimmer chatter? Big Distraction.

Completely disagree here
Zone block scheme has worked great all year
Last couple games w no Cook/ Theilen and vs Bears w all back ups
Cousins looked very good vs Sea D and that was outdoors....
I see this coming down to last possible play, either team

Hope you are right! The chemistry has been missing without Theilen. The run yards matter on how you get them. Can you run anytime you want to-dominate? It just bothers me that Zimmer blames the offense on the least little thing and stifles their creativity - defenses make mistakes all the time but a fumble or interception that puts the defense in a bad position is like the end of the world.
But, the Vikings are a much better team on turf. Zimmer needs to hold the score down with his defense and not let the game get into a shootout. I am a day 1 Vikings fan and hope springs eternal!
