After this showing today they should move back up #1 in the final rankings. Giving them a game against Oklahoma at #4.
Then osu#2 vs Clemson #3

Ohio State should still be #1 with a win tonight, no reason to penalize Buckeyes in that case. Both Ohio State and LSU have explosive offenses, but Ohio State is light-years better on defense with Young back.

Then why did the committee penalize lsu when they were #1 before? Lsu has beaten better teams they deserve #1

LSU has a defense all of a sudden. This team is unstoppable if that continues.

LSU is #1. When the #2 beats the #4 it leapfrogs #1 who beat #8. This is simple 1st grade math.

No way they still #1 after tonight wth the way they look.
They would've have been anyway even if they won in a convincing fashion.
Now it looks like they could fall to #3 if lucky..lol

That fake punt on their own 20 changed everything. Wisconsin was favored live before that.

Lsu has the far better resume than Ohio State it's not close. Ohio state hasn't beaten a ranked team in the road. Lau destroyed Alabama with tua healthy.
Lsu is clearly number one if you go by resume and it's not close. The committee is always biased in favor of the big ten.

Ohio states big wins don't look nearly as impressive now that Michigan State finished badly and Penn State came back on them. Their best win was a blowout at home against a Wisconsin team with bad qb play.

Lsu bear alabama in the road, Michigan was mediocre all year, don't care.
Alabama would be double digits favorites against Michigan and lsu beat alabama easily on the road.

I don't disagree LSU is better and should be #1, just that OSU did beat ranked team on the road

The committee is always heavily biased towards the big ten, they had Penn State at 4 at on point.

Agree and that's why I think lsu should be one. Ohio states defense is better than lsus, but offense wins in football today.

It won't surprise me at all if they keep Ohio state at 1, they know Ohio state is the best team for ratings and Oklahoma is the weakest team likely to get in the playoff.

There was no reason to penalize LSU in 1st place. Explain to me how they got removed from 1 and I’ll concede osu shouldn’t be removed today. Even tho I’d say LSU destroying Uga as 7 point favs was far more impressive than down 2 tds to wiscy who was a joke 8 anyways,.
Plus who doesn’t wanna see where they put a LSU/sooners total?!!!!!?!! 95?? Lol

They were waiting for Ohio State's to get some quality wins and beating Penn State and Michigan late in the year swayed things.

See my last post, LSU was #1 before Ohio State's two biggest wins of the season. If I recall, they went to #1 after beating Penn State and then road destruction of Michigan validated spot. Neither team did anything wrong down the stretch and for those pointing to last night, Ohio State still won by double-digits in their worst game of the year.
