i now know when refs will overturn no PI call into a PI call

it's only when a WR is running from one side of the field straight across to the other and as the QB throws the ball to where he is going the WR gets bumped, arm grabbed,etc some sort of move that kills his ability to get to where the ball is thrown

they don't care if they don't call PI on a downfield throw where both the WR/DB hand fight and then at the end the DB does commit PI a bit early.... they won't overturn those, not even that one to Hopkins from the Ravens last Sunday

they overturned one in the situation I'm describing in the Panthers-Saints game late and that gave Carolina another set of 1st and goal... and they still didn't take advantage, then missed the 28 yard FG

but they overturned the same no PI call in the Colts-Denver game in a situation where Hilton was running from again, side to side like a drag route and he is beating the defender and right as JB throws the ball his right arm was literally grabbed by the hand and held onto and his momentum was stopped and he reached out with just his left arm to catch it and it went off the end of his fingertips...if not for the arm/hand grab and hold he would've easily caught it on the run and turned it up field

the downfield blatant PI misses where the WR/DB are hand fighting at first on a downfield throw and then as the ball gets there the defender interferes a little early... if they don't flag that right away they won't overturn those

makes a lot of sense, ehhh?

so... the way they are calling it to overturn no calls on PI. going back to the Saints-Rams play where no PI was called... that was a guy running from his left to right to get to a ball thrown to where he was going and his momentum was interfered with completely.

so they are only overturning the plays where they initially call no PI but there is PI that are SIMILAR in nature to the no call play from the NFCCG last season
