Houston Rockets vs New Orleans Pelicans - Crazy Total of 242.5
I like it when the oddsmakers post somewhat "crazy" total lines for games, because it's easier to get an edge in that game, either in live betting or pre-game, however you want to look at it.

The 2 teams this/last year have never scored over 240 points, see here:

The highest ever combined was 239 but that was just less than a month ago (the total line for that game was 238.5)

Recent games have shown both teams "slowed down" a bit, however I definitely like the over here for several reasons:
    • Veteran's day, I expect lots of scoring, lots of show, it could be a sort of a mini-all-star game.
    • The fact they only slowed down recently makes it even better to go "against" the trend
    • The trend shows under in many aspects, I just love going against the trend one more time.

Now going against the trend is not easy, usually you should bet the over on much lower lines, and no one can guarantee this won't hit 241 so all over bettors would get screwed, it's still gambling.

However in this one I definitely like the challenge here.

    Good Luck!

You said they never scored over 240 points? Don't get too excited, calm down and read your past scores again. They just played 10/26/19 and the score was 123 to 126, that's a total of 249. They played 10/17/18 and the final score was 131 to 112 that is 243 total. These two teams do not play defense and could easily go over 242.

Sorry, I looked at the total line in the link provided instead of calculating it right.

This looks terrible ... looks like the trend was "right" here:

The 2018 trend shows they barely get to score 230 pts altogether, not to mention 240...

I thought they would break the trend once again but apparently it looks really bad so far.

Opening line was 242.5 - climbed up to 246.5 pregame.
                Now it's 228.5 @ halftime.

In this pace I am not even sure if they would score over 228 pts to be honest.

The only rescue could come in a form of Overtime or some miracle like you said, slayer14 ... otherwise it looks doom and gloom.
