Pro sports are becoming so watered down...too many teams, not enough top level talent. My solution would be 2 tier leagues. You can be regulated to the 2nd league and can earn your way back to the "premier" league.

There's only a six year difference in the average age between NFL players and NCAA players.
It would be silly for me to suggest that an elite program like LSU or Ohio State can beat a bottom feeder NFL team outright, but any elite NCAA team with a head coach familiar with pro sets etc... can keep a game within 40.
