How “off” should a spread have to be for you to bet on it?

    How “off” should a spread have to be for you to bet on it?
    I usually do not bet on spreads unless I feel they are at least 2 or 2.5 points off. Is this a correct approach?

    if I feel they are off 2.5 or more, i bet the opposite side of what i thought

        The spread is never off. It is calculated with super computers and the bettor just picks which side it will land on.
