#37But it meaningless! Lol. Tell that to Andy Reid who crushes it off a bye. Of course the numbers prob say it doesn’t mean a lot and if they do ya know why? Cause terrible teams get byes too so them losing off the bye fudges the numbers. Give a good team extra rest and time to prepare and of course it a advantage!! Unreal the shit ppl will talk themselves into believing!!Comment -

#40Damn straight. Look at packers off mini bye yesterday vs Dallas playing Sunday night. I mean some of that was dallas coaching is pathetic but of course the extra time and rest for pack off a embarrassing performance from d mattered!!Comment -

#43Same here: I was saying it all offseason that the d was gonna be so much better. Only concern is you can run on them. But they jump out on teams so that discourages crappy coached teams like Dallas from sticking w the run!! Lol. Good coached teams like eagles continue pounding away!!
Tell you what, when raiders come off their bye and go to gb I’ll be real interested in catching a td! Raiders got a nasty rushing attack.Comment -

#44Right on. You bet lot of hockey?
Problem for me is simple, I’m more a number capper (a creative one) than anything else and far as I know there really not many numbers to quantify hockey and no chance im watching and following close enough to bet it that way! Lol.
I’ve asked bunch of guys who bet hockey what type numbers could help me cap it but nobody ever has a great answer!!Comment -

#50I see some big forum names are on the browns. LOL.
The browns were the play last week. Now they travel cross the nation into California on a non conference game vs a team who will run them into the ground.
What a coaching mismatch this is. Bumbling idiot kitchens vs offensive guru shanahan.
This shit is going to get ugly for the browns.

#53Explain please.
I can look at certain set of numbers for college hoops and put together what I feel is a incredibly sound final score, obviously it don’t always work out but i like that without ever seeing a team play I can do this.
Wouldn’t even know where to start with hockey? I have some ideas but seems very similar to soccer in that regard. It could just be i never played those sports so dunno what kind of number there are, how I should value/weight each, etc etc..
The nhl playoffs my strategy is pretty simple and proven to work. Just identify series that are gonna be incredibly competitive then start mini chases in a way to get the series to certain points, and home ice is incredibly overrated so you can do this getting plus money most the time which of course much much much better/safer/less expensive when tryin any type of chase.
Obviously I’ve taken some hits over the years but incredibly rare I don’t turn some kind of profit!! I do something similar at times in NBA but have taken way more hits with it! Lol. I remember the year bron came back and beat Golden st, I was chasing Cleveland but by time they started winning I had got my head busted so bad my resolve was destroyed so never made the early losses back!! That was one my more devastating 7 game series ass kickings I’ve took!! LolComment -

#62Hockey is such a new sport, hasn't been heavily analyzed as much because the parity is so high and limits generally lower but good place to start for small timers like us. Find a good database with tons of stats and try to find correlations a la sabermetrics. Obviously individual players are less in important in general so perhaps mix team stats in. Goalies super important so weight heavily to their metrics. Basically, you need to piece together a bunch of different components to make a formula -- and your components have to be made up of better metrics than GAA% or +/-. The article below goes into it a bit whilst comparing it to the NHL video game but it's exactly what you need to get you started.
