Reds ff -.5 -110 is a stronger play for me than the under. I don’t 100% trust waino on the road in a bandbox. Actually like fg under better than ff cause cards stud pen guys all well rested so I don’t think cincy will score much if any once waino leaves the game. Only reason I grabbed ff under was cause it even money at 4.5, don’t think cards will get more than 1 off Castillo, just hoping waino can hold cincy to 3, lol.

Oh and the fact reds ff is cheaper today than yesterday is almost comical to me. Maybe they know something I don’t but I doubt it!

Me too, just think reds stronger cause waino on the road been a adventure. Feel incredibly confident reds leading after 5, feel pretty confident cards don’t have more than 1 run after 5 (I suppose they could fluke into 2, lol). Least confident thing for me in this game is waino’s performance? Reds offense hasn’t been all that much better than cards only reason I’m reasonably confident waino can hold them to 3 or less thru 5..

If waino keeps them in it and cards can get Castillo pitch count up cards might be a good look live if they only down a run or 2 after 5. All their best pen guys have had a few days off so don’t think cincy will do any scoring once waino leaves assuning it close and we use the go to relievers.

Had Oakland yesterday and right now it is the #1 play on the Contrarian radar.

Raw forecast has OAK winning outright with the probability translating to more than 2 runs, there are adjustments in the market making it even more probable, not to mention trades all over the place that look sharp on Oakland.

Oakland is the play there and unless there is some funny late action, it will trigger in the Contrarian Fund.

It might not win this time, but if they play this exact one twice, Oakland gets one of them.

+170 is value for the Fund, without a doubt.

Just awaiting more volume, but if the trend is even close to the same in the next hour, it's a buy for me.

Looking at the over on the Orioles/Red Sox. Two righties face off in Aaron Brooks and Rick Porcello. Total is a bit high at 12, but factor these in:

- The Orioles pitchers are bad, particularly Brooks who has given up at least 5 in 3 of his last 4 games. And he has not pitched particularly well against Red Sox bats.

- Porcello has only allowed 5 or more runs in 2 of his last 4, but the Sox Bull pen has been generous with the opposition. His last 8 games have had a final total of at least 12 runs between the two teams. June 23rd was his last game that was not a home run derby.

-Fenway is a hitter's park. I expect the ball to be flying.

My concern for minor is the twinks have teed off on lefties this year. He has been really good his last few starts tho, 15 innings no runs, 18ks, and only 2 walks at Cleveland and at milw this month. August has historically been his best month as well.

Oderizzi been really good his last 3 also.

1st 5 under 5.5 at ev or plus money has some value imo. No interest having any part of either these 2 pens for a under.

If this line moved enough, there could be some buy back.

Like I always say, trying to predict a pitchers performance who has never pitched at coors a dicey deal for there 1st go around (The altitude/air seems to effect some guys way more drastically than others). If ya havnt noticed im a pretty big alcontera fan, I think his stuff a lot better than most his numbers suggest, he capable of shutting down any lineup when he right. Biggest concern is the walks which are a killer at coors, gonna hope he can navigate his way thru rox lineup couple times and keep the damage minimal.

Grey has had plenty of solid starts at coors vs much better lineups than fish. Think he can hold them to 1-2 runs so if that holds tru it gives alcontera lot of wiggle room.

This is why I struggled so much w the cardinals in 1st half of this year (as in normally I’m really good on/against and their totals and really wasn’t this season till more recently I’ve had them more pegged).

Mfers are so backwards! they have more runs in 3 innings tonight against a stud pitcher than they have this entire road trip (with exception of one 5 run inning in kc) against 2 gas can royals starters and sonny grey! They do things like this just often enough to make you think they shouldn’t produce runs right around the same clip as the marlins and tigers (seriously, lol) but then they will turn around and get shut out vs some career minor league scrubs for 3 days straight after this!! Lol
