#4Nicky, or anyone for that matter, will never know the depths of what my gambling has been over the past 20 years.
For example, on the slots issue that Nicky just stated..........I could sit here and write a detailed history consisting of 599 book pages of PRECISELY how I made the majority of my money on +ev slot plays and Nicky or others would still spin it into something that was not true and/or attempt to write something negative about it. To Nickys credit however, way more than most, he has written many more positives than negatives about me and he gets more things RIGHT about me than the vast majority.
It is amazing how so many people like to make assumptions about another posters life in these forums............i see it almost on a daily basis. Facts are, nobody will ever know what an individual poster is like unless they spend time with that person on a daily basis in real life...........which seldom is the case between two posters.
In closing, and this should be how everyone thinks on this forum, IN THIS BUSINESS, ONE SHOULD ONLY WORRY ABOUT THEMSELVES AND HOW TO TAKE CARE OF UNO #1.........THEMSELVES!
In terms of gambling, I'm very happy and content with myself and what I've been able to accomplish in this business over 25+ years............no worries. Could I have done much better, yes. But equally, I could have did worse. Even though it been hard work, dedication, emotionally draining at times, and stressful...............my gambling career has been fun, every minute of it!!
For that reason, I will continue to grind away.............LOVE IT!!

#14On paper money was made.......in the world of video poker that is the way you have to long at things.
Video poker when played properly has lots of swings, very similar to real poker. However the best players will see their profits gradually grow and grow and grow over time through all of the swings.

#16Fishead goes from video poker to slot hustling, to working for casinos to working for forums. then back
Sometimes it sounds like he's making big bets, other times he's depressed over a seemingly small loss.
I'm not doubting Fishead's honesty, and what he says about slots is certainly true. I'm just a bit confused how all this jells together. And how the **** does this linesmaker gig fit into this?bird bird da bird's da wordComment -

#20I dont consider earning comps as part of lifetime earnings. I give FH lots of credit for taking what angles the house would give him. Most the rest of us slugs did not hang out in Vegas working the angles although I always wanted to.Comment -

I don't either..........
Comps are just gravy on top of what +EV plays provide...........cash that is pure profit.

#24If you are making your living gambling in vegas those comps dont do you much good. If you fly in and get your room, meals, show and a jacket comped well good show. Just speaking for me I dont bother much with the comps. I mainly play table games and playing to earn comps is not healthy for the bottom line imo.Comment -

Don---Lived many years in Vegas........1984-2002.
Comps are great, but as professionals we treat them as GRAVY, nothing more, nothing less.
In fact, if you live in Vegas, comps are just a given.
When I moved from Vegas, a modest estimate of my comp value around the city as a whole was basically infinite in value.........hell, many hosts, managers, supervisors were good friends of mine in the real world outside of gambling so you can imagine with that fact along with practically living in a casino what my comp status was.
Living in Florida, it is a 180 degree reversal.........UGH.
