First off, his dad won't let him act a fool and punk out like that. I see him more like Russell Wilson, early on he had the "Legion Of Boom" to bail him out and keep them in games. Mahomes has Tyreek The Freak and all that speedster firepower. Plus, Andy Reid - think about the long positive career Donovan McNabb had, and I think Mahomes is better! But, if KC is going to be a perennial SB contender, they have to do something about their piss-poor defense.....

I'm basing in on the fact that Scar beat Simba but the movie was fixed for the half black lion. Everyone knows Scar was darker than Simba yet they crowned Simba King...typical.

I agree Mid. But half a season isn't enough. Has he shown signs of greatness?? Sure he has. This same conversation was taking place with Colin "mylifesucksbecauseofwhitey" Kaepernick. Sandlot backyard football works for a while but not long in the NFL.

-You would never take a prop bet on this, so it's obvious even you believe everything you're saying is complete bullshit
-Lots of players who've taken a knee during the National Anthem, only one has lost his career, or had anyone care much about it. So even if he does turn into the next Matt Leinart, kneeling won't mean much
-Cam Newton has had a better career than Luck, Stafford, and Bradford
-No one ever crowned Winston the way people are doing with Mahommes (or did with RG3, Carr, etc).

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes broke a record and won a football game Sunday, but there was no celebration.

According to Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star, the stepfather of Mahomes’ girlfriend “suffered a medical emergency” while at the game and died.

Brittany Matthews posted about her loss on Instagram.

“Today is a day I will never forget,” she wrote. “Directly after this picture I sprinted to the front entrance to see my step dad passed out! He did not come back from this and he was called to heaven today! I KNOW 100 % he is so happy up there with his kids looking down on us cheering loud that his Chiefs won today! Thank you everyone for the prayers and sweet text! We will miss you Paul So So So much! I will take care of mom for you!”

Mahomes left immediately after the game, and wasn’t available for interviews.

Our thoughts are with the family for their loss.

Heinz took to Twitter on Thursday and made Mahomes the offer of a lifetime: free ketchup, forever, if Mahomes throws 57 touchdown passes this season.

With 31 TD tosses in 10 games, Mahomes is currently on pace for 49.6 scores. We'll be kind and round up to 50, but that still leaves him seven short. In order to put himself on pace for 57, he needs to have an eight-touchdown performance against the Rams on Monday night. That would be an NFL record. Mahomes has already thrown for six touchdowns in one game this season, though, and the Chiefs-Rams over-under is sky-high as everyone is expecting a ton of scoring. It's not out of question, even if it's unlikely.

If he can't manage an eight-TD game on Monday, all he needs to do is average 4.33 touchdown passes per game the rest of the season. Given his love for Ketchup, he's now got some extra motivation to do so.

MAHOMES is the real deal. But will he End up like a Philip Rivers, Ben R, or a will he end up amongst the hall of top QB's? That will depend on Time, how he holds up to the obvious when his weapons go else where for bigger bucks at contract time, but you can't say he is all hype. He will be a good QB for his career greatness however comes through adversity.
