#16Before it gets too late:
* Go to the ATM and get cash. If the power goes out for a few days or a week, you'll be ahead of the game.
* Fill your car with gas. If the power goes out for a few days or a week, at least you won't be stranded.
* Have some kind of device (battery-powered weather radio) that'll give you information — where the storm is, where it's headed, what local roads might be closed — and I'm not talking about a smartphone. If you lose power for multiple days, a dead phone is of no help.
* If you can at all avoid it, no not go out or drive at night. You need to see where water is on roadways, downed power lines, etc.
Stay safe, y'all.Comment -

#21I seriously doubt they’re playing these games. They don’t want people traveling during an evacuation. Hermine hit Tallahassee two years ago as a Cat 1 and knocked the power out for 5 days. They felt it all the way into South Georgia.
South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland could get deckedComment -

Coastal Carolina's scheduled game against Campbell has been moved from Saturday to Wednesday due to Hurricane Florence.
The Hurricane is supposed to wreck havoc against the Carolina area, so the Chanticleers will move the game up to Wednesday to avoid the situation. Don't be surprised if several games scheduled in the area are moved, postponed, or outright cancelled due to the storm.

#24UCF game against Tar Heels could be cancelled
Saturday's scheduled contest between UCF and UNC could be cancelled due to the potential conditions of Hurricane Florence.
Florence is supposed to be a Category 4 storm, and at this point, it could bring significantly inclement weather to the Carolina area. The game is currently scheduled for a noon kickoff in Raleigh on Saturday, an area expected to be hit hard at this point. Both teams are preparing for the game to be played on schedule, but there's at least a chance this one could be postponed or possibly cancelled. It would be the second year in a row that UCF would lose a game in this way, as their scheduled contest against Georgia Tech was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.

#31the second it hits land it will be downgraded to a tropical storm with maybe 55 mph winds and couple of inches of rain. over hyped by news and weather stations of course because ratings book due out soon. everyone always falls for this and what usually happens is your property ends up getting looted.Comment -

Stop posting stupid shit. I think the people in central Florida who had the pleasure of a triple blast from Charley, Frances, and Jeanne within a 5 week period would beg to differ.Comment -
