Again, tonight, the Padres are on the radar for the contrarian action Mike.

I am seeing heavy action on SF but I haven't seen the types of trades that I want to see to round this contrarian play out. Game starts early right after the market closes.

The early start makes it risky but I figure many of us will try to run it back with SD.

In this situation, with timing and the market as it is right now, I think the early bird gets the worm.

The question is whether or not we get enough time to develop the play.

I've been pretty tight with the Contrarian Fund plays, and it's amazing how many games paid that were just outside my circle of selection, and I mean just outside.

We still have some time here.

I played the Padres last night, I don’t know if I can back these guys again. They just always seem to struggle to hit. First and third last night with one out in the 11th and they lay down a safety squeeze with their catcher. Guy on third doesn’t run. Easy out. Then next guy up strikes out on three pitches. The epitome of frustrating.

That 11th inning action was unbelievable. Go all that way just to blow it.

Like that poor LAD pitcher didn't even get a shut out the other night.

From the Contrarian viewpoint it's the other way.

Seeing money on the Over but still not seeing the trading action we seek.

On the other hand, starting to see confirming metrics on the Padres.

One thing to note, moves based on the lineup change can cause moves in the market that mimic criteria we seek in the Contrarian Fund.

I may pass and watch another winner go right by me.

It's tough to stay disciplined, especially when you see plays just outside your target buys pay off when you were so close to getting them.

Grinding.

not too concerned about that...he's a middle of the road innings eater and gets shelled more times than not.
