Well the rovers we are sending out are kinda cool and that helps us understand planet surfaces.. I'm in favor of our Mars rovers...

Also those Huble telescopes and what not we sent up are bringing back incredible deep space images. That works also..

Now in regards to human space travel it is a waste of money.. We need a new discovery in space craft technology.. We need to reverse engineer one of those downed UFO's or something

SpaceX has transported a capsule to NASA to begin testing for spaceflight to replace the space shuttle.

They are still behind schedule a little bit and are at the mercy of NASA testing and Launch windows.

At this point, even SpaceX isn't fully in control of it's own schedule to get a manned pod up there.
