MESSAGE TO: Race Book Patrons that yell at the TV
    Don't.

Nobody cares what you bet on and nobody wants to hear you urge your horse or dog on. If you can't make a bet without yelling, screaming, making strange sounds and a spectacle of yourself, then stay at home.

"That guy" always starts yelling at the screen and walking down the ailse as he's frothing at the mouth "c'mon 3, cmon 3, cmon3!" because he wants everyone to know he bet on #3, then when his horse doesn't fire he's making excuses to strangers (who don't care and try to avoid eye contact with him) all the way back to his seat There was this greaseball at the Southpoint one time that yelled at every race he bet on, so when he went to make a bet I left a note on his table as I walked by. It said "sit down and shut the penetrate up, you're making a fool out of yourself". We watched him pick the note up and look around, it was funny, but it only lasted about three races.

Thats the same kind of guy that used to roll his car windows down crank his crappy music when he was in high school..thinkin he's impressing someone

Characters? You're new to this...How about Drama Queen Phony Losers...

Its a show- If they were betting at home and watching on the TV alone, they'd just sit there. It like the dork at the Movie theater that laughs out (way too) loud at EVERY SINGLE JOKE. That same guy sits silently when watching movies at home..Its a strange phenomenon

I'd like to know the psychology behind it- Its phony, its like the guy that talks baby talk and is so nice to little kids out in public then goes home and beats his own

I bet you're a real fuk'in joy to hang out with at the track. It's called "excitement" and having fun at the track. What the fuk does it matter to you if someone wants to urge their horse on? So you were actually that big of a fuk'in jackass to leave a note on the guys table? So I'm assuming you just sit at your table all nice and proper for every race and quietly tear up your losing tickets while mumbling under your breath...."another loser".

Here's your new name, "El Douche Bag" non pro.

I love those guys too. They’re always trying to show people their tickets, talking about how they just missed the superfecta by a nose. They keep things entertaining at the track.

I go to the same track we used to go to in college every once in awhile to make my triple crown and Breeder’s Cup bets. It’s been 20 years since I was in college and some of the same dudes are there we used to see back then, yelling the same stuff every freaking race.

who can stomach the idiots who yell when their horse is 20' from the wire with no other horse even close to it. they just want everyone to know they have it. and the jerks who call the horse "baby" "c'mon baby" most annoying thing there listening to this. most of the time they don't even have it or have it and don't have the 2nd place horse for the exacta. especially annoying when it's the favorite they're trying to yell home.

And it's not a penetrating show. It's one of the hardest forms of gambling to win on consistently, with a high take out. But there are opportunities, especially if you know what to look for and if you know a few ppl. Unless it's one of those guys yelling for the 3 horse for 2 minutes straight and he's 20 lengths back with no chance, I have no problem with ppl rooting on there horse. It's hard to win, so it's hard not to be excited when you have the chance to do so.

I grew up at the Race Track, I walked horses, groomed horse, and assitant trained horses... And it matters cause i'm in the same room with the retard. And yes...me and my friends don't make a big scene everytime we win or lose a bet.. I'm usually with a woman, and I don't like bringing a woman around what looks like a raving, lunatic, homeless, loudmouth degenerate...... and they don't like it either... Maybe the trash bag youre dating or married to does, I don't know?

And yelling and screaming is not fun in itself, I'll act like that if I win the lottery, but not over a Dime Suprfecta...

Just calm the F down when youre around me

I think it's best to bet horses if you are tied into the business, at the stables or tracks and know the fix, then you can get a return over the vig.

Otherwise you'd better have a good computer program and understand when it's spitting out winners.

Knew some guys like that, they paid quite a bit for that subscription.

Well there are nice civilized areas at the track.. Just pay the extra money- Even when I was a kid we'd go to the clubhouse at places like Maywood and Sportsmans park..Very nice while down below it looked like the lower decks of a tramp steamer..

Like the guy in the video that can't even put on a clean shirt and is getting excited about a Place n Show bet?

People gamble, go to the track, casino, play bingo, whatever, to get a few fleeting moments of fun and excitement and to escape their sometimes miserable daily lives, the grind of their job, bad day at the office, and to just have a few brews and some fun. Don't piss on someone else's parade because you don't know how to get the most out of a good time.

Remember, everybody loves a winner and hates a sore loser. By the way, I'm one of those guys who cheers on my winner in a daily double, the 2nd place horse that wins my exacta, and the long shot the comes outta nowhere to finish in the money. Although I'm usually outside in the grandstands or on the balcony of the clubhouse.

It's all perspective and how you look at it, that same guy you left a nasty note to, might be the same dude who's gets on a hot streak and gives you your next winner. It's happened for me a bunch of times.

Maywood is a fukking dump in ghetto ass Melrose park. same with Balmoral although their dining room on the 3rd floor was nice and had good food. I use to go down after eating by the rail and yell at Tony Morgan calling him a cheater and call out that drunk Michael oosting when he would stiff.

He got pulled over for dui out in the middle of nowhere and the state trooper that I knew from the otb gave him a break so oosting gave him a 36-1 pig with Jason Dillander at Hoosier park the next night that won by 8 lengths. Also got to meet del chupps wife one time and got a tip on a 33-1 that won easily. Could go on and on but that was pretty fun back in the day. Hawthorne harness is not the same these days.

Arlington the only thing worth going to around there unless you take the 4.5 hr commute to Louisville.

I grew up at Arington! I started selling peanuts there at the age of 8.. I used to yell all kinds of crazy stuff to get peoples attention to buy them..I was the best.. I worked the Clubhouse and I met all the stars.. Like people here, they were all attracted to me- Barbra Eden kissed me everytime she came to the Track.. One time Get Smart was hangin around my little peanut cart and I said "are you the voice of Tennesse Tuxedo? and he goes "CHUMLEY! GET.ME.OUT.OF HERE!
