1. Spain
2. Portugal
3. Morocco
4. Iran

The opening game in this Group , played Fri June 15th , will decide the winner. I think Spain have the deeper pool of talent between the two , although the gap has narrowed the past few years. As for Morocco and Iran , they will both attempt to " keep their defensive shape " and limit the over all damage.

By no means is this group a foregone conclusion. Outside of Australia , who are a step down in class from the other 3 , on any given day 1 through 3 can easily reverse. Still , going on depth and recent form, and the reinstatement of Guerrero in Peru's starting line up, i am picking them to advance.

Initially had Denmark but upon further review I also like Peru to not only advance but go deep into the knockouts, semis even perhaps

Not a fan of Portugal and wouldn't be surprised to see Morocco advance

Uruguay is not getting out of the group. Russia will be in the quarter finals. Egypt will advance. They are impossible to score on

Only - 140 ?

That seems extremely juiced to me. A draw, a red card......can place them 2nd. To win the Group, I would need even $ or better.

You will need to score to advance. Russia may not even advance, they are average at best.

Russia worst host nation after South Africa and Japan in last two decades of major soccer tournaments. All the soccer sharps I know on the Saudi's. I got mine in 3 months ago.

I really think Croatia has the ability to be the " spoiler " team of this tournament. They play tight and compact on defence ( very tough to break down ) , and have a midfield that every manager would love to have.... Modiric , Rakatic and Perisic. Mandzukic is beast of a player who is an amazing " go to guy " on set pieces. A true #9 type of player. As is the case in most groups , the head to head game between Argentina and Croatia, should wrap up the group with a win. Its really a 50 - 50 proposition for me. I think Iceland , the cindarella story, will find the basement against much better here.

Brazil have something to prove right now , and with the deep pool of talent they have , and the chip on their shoulder......They are certainly " The Team to Beat " imo. After all the heartache on home soil last World cup , with Neymar being attacked and injured by Colombia , and the follow up 7 - 1 defeat to Germany..... They are on a mission. Healthy , looking invincible right now, look out......# 6 ?

The blood that runs through these veins is 100% German , but i am reluctant to jump for joy at the selections made by coach Loew. Why take 3 goalies , and not include a world class player like Sane in the squad ? If you are going to go with only 3 forwards , why do you include Mario Gomez ( 32 and injured for big gaps this year ) ? The good news is that our midfield is stacked full of talent. The other bad news is that our back 4 is a revolving door lately with only Hummels as a regular fixture. Second and third is really up to how Mexico choose to approach this group. Do they play their defensive system against Sweden as well ? It could well end up as a nil to nil draw and start to put pressure on goal tallies in the South Korea games ( I am liking every over 2.5 that they play ).
