I shorted this guy at $295 last week. Sold some covered puts to boot.

Keep in mind TSLA has been one of the great short squeeze stocks in modern history. It just keeps going up. They lose money; stock goes higher. Musk is charged by SEC the stock goes higher, it has never ended.

But the announcement to go to the $35k car has changed things. They will lose $22k on each car sold. That is VERY difficult to get ones hands around.

Yeah, above avg returns and below avg risk. The expense isn't too bad and the ratings are pretty good overall.

At this price, 65.62, I still think it's too expensive for the what looks to be about 2.15% trailing 12 mos.

I think we can do better.

I'm thinking trimming some of my MORT (7.51% trailing at 22.95/share) and adding to STWD (8.6% at 22.27/share)

I think the REIT's may stall a bit here but STWD is more than that and better positioned.

My risky bet, GME (13.15% at 11.59/share) as been steady so far and gone up since picking it up a month ago. They announces the Div with ex date 3/14. I figured it would get some support for that 13.15% and they've announced a stock buyback this week.

Today is a good example of how pointless following the Dow Jones is. As of now the Dow is down more than 0.5% (due to Boeing's fall). But the S&P is up over 0.5% and NASDAQ up almost 1%. Strong day on wall street, but not if you think the dow represents the market.

you know i was watching like a hawk since the opening bell but was hoping/waiting for it to get to the 350s before i pounced.


however - very risky to hold this thing too long. 2 accidents very identical to one another within 5 mos, where the aircraft both behaved very similar to each other in both instances, could be a big issue for Boeing.

the investigation will like take mos but if the aircraft in either instance was deemed at fault, that stock is going to plummet.

That was a $27 billion dollar haircut. I bot 200 at $377 and sold the $375 calls with 2 weeks for $14. It could and still might fall to the low 300's. These are tricky trades that are probably best to be avoided. My plan is to keep selling calls if she drops.

One would love to read something into this. I'd be more convinced if I saw another day this strong. As D2 mentioned at the open, this market came out really strong even with the Dow down 150.

Yes, there is definitely downside possibility. If things go south, sub-300 is very possible. I wouldn't be a buyer right here.

basically every one of those planes in the world has been grounded. if there's a crash it will be a different plane.

stock went down to 363 range then right back up and actually closed higher at 377.
