The problem with Trump's strategy is that when emerging markets go into recession from tariffs the US stock market takes a hit because most US companies are multi-mational.

Exactly but we're getting the opposite. Today was tolerable until trade talk leaked from sources came out around 1130 am Pacific and the market began nosediving.

I've done ok in this market.

I bought some calls last week then sold them up big yesterday, only to see the market drop enough for me to buy back other calls I sold two weeks ago.

Unexpectedly, I took profit on both ends yesterday.

Wild market for sure.

I talk out of my ass sometimes. I totally forgot about the midterms. I'm so disillusioned by politics and the antics that I dial out sometimes. Midterms are seemingly always shaky times for the market

My crystal ball shows a Rocky Balboa(aka hammer) candle to fill the 2nd gap by November 23-26.

Obviously this is all for fun. Lots of ways this can play out.

Dealing with fires. Just got back home after the evacuation. War zone here, a lot of friends lost their houses.

Looks like we closed the second gap, no hammer candle, (we have to put two together to form one).

Been sitting on LNG and CPQ, looking for some natty gas lift.

"Warmer winters," a bit of supply, and the already high stock prices are probably going to stifle that lift, but by the end of 2019, I think LNG (Cheniere) will be a solid money maker.

I also picked up BAC last week, trying to get some exposure to a bounce in the banks.
