Pre market futures started way down and working themselves up to DOWN -50. Looks like a steady open down a little. Pretty big sell off in Asia not carrying over to Europe or the US.

Over the weekend I researched several dividend stocks including STWD and NRZ which you gave me, along with BTI and MO and some others.

This morning I bought STWD and NRZ. Apparently my research led me right back to what you recommended. But, as Big Boys who wear Big Boy Pants, we may receive advice when it is solicited (i clearly asked), but we are 100% responsible for ourselves. Either way, I believe I made the right choice. Thanks again!

I held MO for a good while back in the day. Sold it when they spun off Kraft. Good memories but I should of held both.

STWD I have bot a couple of times recently as well.

Some smart fuggers running the show there. My only worry is the big acquisition they made buying GE's oilfield leasing division. If they muck that up it's going to hurt the stock. But the other side of the coin is they are smart fuggers and if they paid $3.5 billion for it they are going to make a killing.

STWD does not play rate swaps hedges(to any significant degree) and has always said they are positioned for a higher rate market. I like that.

I have a buddy who's owned a ton of Sirius stock since it took a crap in 2000 so I'm rooting very hard for that stock to make a major comeback

We are in a capitulation stage. Nearing the end but could have another 5% to the down side.

Some info about Trevena -- have a next gen IV opiod, seeking FDA approval November 2nd

Stock is under a dollar. Dropped from mid 3's to sub 1 on announcement of Adcom suggestion. Adcom is an FDA advisory board. 8 voted no for the drug, 7 voted yes. Many of the no's were on the borderline, and said they would have voted yes if "x, y, z." Basically wanted more data.

Some fun facts:

TRVN founder won Nobel Prize for Chem in 2012.

Parcia Pharma -- Earlier this year, had 6 vote no in adcom meeting, 4 vote yes. 7 weeks later, FDA voted yes. Doctor who made that happen was hired at TRVN earlier this month. Dr. Scott Braustein. Not entirely similar based on denial reasons, but worth noting.

Institutional holdings for TRVN ---
NEA Management company holds almost 4 million shares.
NEA Venture partner Scott Gottlieb is the FDA Comissioner. He also is always on the lookout for alternatives to pill form opiods since they are easily abused.

This is still probably a high risk stock. I don't know how low the floor is here, but obviously it could hit $7 or so soon.

I feel FDA approval is coming for this drug, thing is I don't know when. It could be in 10 days, it could be a year from now.

Just dropping you some info in case you're looking for a medium-risk, high-reward stock that is under a buck.
