Going to vegas for march madness weekend. Also happens to be spring break and st pattys day as well. I want to bring 10racks to gamble with at the sports book. Should I bring the cash on the plane there or just withdraw it from the ATM when I get there. Also if I win 20-30k can they just give me a check I don't feel like taking that back on a plane

#5Yes you're fine bringing that much cash. Technically supposed to report anything over 10, have brought 30 in 10 bundles. Just keep it on your carry on that you bring with you. Anything you deposit back into bank that's 10 or over gets a CTR written up about it. Just bring it back. Break it up. Put it in different spots in your bag. Worse case they stop you and tell you you need to go fill out paperwork tontravel with it. I go to Vegas about 10x a year for sports haven't been stopped or even questioned yet. Casino wires can be expensive.
They won't write you a check.

#8I would politely disagree with the previous poster about carrying 30G in cash in Vegas. Shite happens. If it were me I'd carry no more than 10G and wire the rest.....or do whatever the host suggested to do with it. Good luck!Comment -

#9And make a reservation at the Golden Steer Steakhouse. In a strip mall, looks like a dive, but great steaks and it's filled with the most entertaining locals you can find. Do this one night, then hit the glitzier places in the Casinos the other nights. You won't regret it.Comment -

#15Staying at the cosmo. So I contact the host there? And I would rather bet at Cesar's sports book. I heard that's the best book to bet because they take your action unlike some who have limitsComment -

#23Man you're going to have a good time. There is something about St. Pattys day and a bunch of games to bet on. Have fun and be safe. Not much to add as far as advice. These guys know what they are talking about, plus for me, Vegas is constantly changing and I haven't been there in awhile.Comment -

#24I’m not a high roller....but I find the William Hill AP very convenient. You wager anytime you want without the long lines and you don’t have to worry about collecting tickets all the time either. And once you deposit with them you don’t have to worry about carrying a bunch of cash around.Comment -

#271st weekend of March madness crazy there. I’d deff wire the money to whatever book you choose as I don’t see you carrying 30k through TSA ending well. Also if they don’t comp you seats at the book I’d suggest paying for a VIP type area to sit & watch games. Books will be packed and seating will be tough.Comment -

#28Also if you care about the quality of your drinks and not the cheap stuff (or expensive good stuff) the casino serves...hit the Total Wine right by the airport. I do it every trip so I can grab a decent selection of beer and a good bottle of bourbon for myself and a couple of bottles wine/Champagne for the wife.
Now you always have enough drinks for your room and you can take good roadies with you if you are heading out to the strip.
Don’t settle for cheap water downed drinks.Comment -
