Line services have been obsolete for years now, JJ
Pro's have made adjustments which has been going back to old school for some and creating more saber numbers for others
Both methods have done okay but it takes a lot of work
I think the guys that got rid of the computer programs have done a little better

Ignore any technical stuff.
It's only going to get worse because DraftKings/FanDuel
are getting in the sportsbook business - they are forming
their models and naming their books right now. I know this.

The bottom line is the books still have to make a number and they do this by making adjustments themselves
A player can never use the same method of selection for any long period, you have to make adjustments to their adjustments

Not saying it's bad, you can't just sit back and watch line movements and pick up smart money like in years past and grab the same number
Numbers move across the markets too quick for line serves to be effective anymore, all you get are fried numbers by the time you react which is not profitable over the long term

Technology ruined professional sports bettor? As in increased technology and better science has passed up the screen watchers? I would say not knowing the difference between real moves and false moves ruined the screen follower might be a better interpretation?
I wonder how many sports books got burned on false moves? Where they moved on air and still do.
I will agree that technology ruined the professional scalper and ho. Bang Bangs are pretty hard to come by.

I'll agree somewhat with this because more and more information is out there, even for the Shops themselves
But I still believe they can be beat. You just have to look where they aren't looking.
Books will pay more attention to the
Villanova games, and not as much to the Coastal Carolina games
you need to find value in these lower profile games
my 2 cents

JJ..the way I see it,I agree with you!!.....this is like politics , two diff. sides with arguments, and never a conclusion!!
Back in the old days, most books would loose $ during baseball season, year in and year out.

This is why I love the Big Sky conference in cbb. Lines are not that sharp on many nights.

You know there is always the "become a better handicapper" yourself. Make your own lines - your own models - your own research of variables - factors. Just following something/somebody and being a winner - pretty hard to do - but, if one is in a nitch - keeps records of results - who knows - short cuts to doing the work yourself - not many exist!

Models don’t work anymore, Don’t forget way more parity in sports now than ever before.
All your old school so called syndicates got buried
