BitPay do not insist you use their wallet. They ask you to use a Payment Protocol wallet. Just download either Electrum or Mycellium wallets and instead of withdrawing to blockchain, withdraw from book to that and then direct to card load..Comment -

Anyways, as long as you know.
At the risk of confusing things... you can also paste the bitpay load link into this decoder and get the details you need to load the card the old way direct from blockchain https://decoder.bip70.org/.Comment -

#53You must have gone the wrong direction somehow, as it's pretty much just clicking next a few times and only takes maybe 1.5 mins to download and make a new wallet.

"Most of your savings "?
Let me give you a hint pal. Never put more than 10% into any one thing.
Some people would suggest 2%Comment -

I decided last year to invest that in playing mid level buyin multi day poker tournies with a view to be good enough and ready to go to WSOP 2018 for a month or so and try to win a bracelet.
The other option at the time was drop that into Bitcoin at about 2k.
I've taken a couple of trips to vegas and 4 other poker playing holidays to Melbourne in the last year, had a lot of fun, won about 12k but spent about 16k on buyins and another 4 or 5k on the travel.
So, the savings is about exhausted and I still havent even won a tourney... soooo... I want a do over!!!.Comment -

I've been playing poker my whole life and I wouldn't even try to take a run at it.
Even though I have had some very good runs. Very bad ones alsoComment -

#64Please look at the study the state of New Jersey did on poker the skill game.
They found only about 10% when and only about 5% are consistent winners.
About the same amount as if you rolled dice in a casino.Comment -

Optional, I remember threat about a year ago where you said you hardly knew anything about poker all the sudden you're a pro?

#68Never said I wanted to be a pro. Had a plan to just play $300-$600 range buyin deep stack multi day tournies to target the $1500 and under WSOP events like that. Just focusing on that one style of play and level of player was the plan. Following poker festivals around. And despite your 20/20 hindsight analysis, I think you'd be quite surprised by my stats. I've gone close many times in good company. Probably already have a better ranking on Hendonmob than any of you guys who think grinding for years playing all sorts of random formats against random player skill levels is the only way to go too. I was simply under funded for the level I chose and made an error at one festival where I broke from the plan and spent about 5k on events I should not have. Still hoping to make it back for WSOP 2018 but have had to scale back the road. Not playing Aussie Millions for example... which is really pissing me off right now. Playing that was a big part of the planned route. Anyway, thanks for the kick whilst I am down!
