Don't know how much a crack rock costs, but I had a couple of kids pull the, "I ran out of gas" sob story on me.
I gave them a $5. Couple of months later, the neighbor kid down the street, who's a drug head, hit my neighbor for
$20 for "gas" money. He then tried to hit me up later that year. I said I have a gas can, do you want some?
