Like you said we need to clean up our own backyard before we worry about helping people from other places on the globe, we are not in a position to help them...and the democrats only care about sealing a vote, and receiving more money for a larger population for their states.

The US destroyed that country, pitted people against each other, redistributed power and destroyed their infrastructure. Her family's generational wealth was stolen. Her family had to flee the country, go to Europe, eventually came here to the US. All she knew was a life of affluence until the US fukked it up. Her dream is to go back to Iran one day.

But, history has also shown that if you do not invest outside of your backyard, you will soon get segmented and cut off from the rest of the world. You lose competitive advantage and you may put yourself in more danger security wise. The US has made it a point to get involved in other countries to keep them down so that we can stay in control. I can agree with this too. I think we try to keep a balance but it's complicated and where you might want to spend 100% in the US, someone else may want just 20%.

But you are also talking about closing the borders totally. While that may seem to be a great idea for those that are already here, what about all the other people that haven't got here yet? Isn't it hypocritical to close the borders now that you are here? Chances are your family immigrated here themselves, unless you're native Indian. Should we all go back to Europe and give the country back to the Indians? Also, do you really want to keep out talent? Do you really want to reject people that can raise the level of Americans? Silicon valley is all immigrants. Where would we be without Silicon Valley? If we don't take in talent, other countries will. In fact, other countries are trying very hard to take in this talent. It would be a huge mistake to close our borders to talent. I have to bring in people from other countries because our own kids are too entitled to put in the sweat equity to get educated. Our kids have everything given to them but they refuse to work hard. Chinese and Indian kids are kicking our kids ass. Wake up. They are smarter, harder working, innovative and diverse. They are open to other ideas. Our kids are like SBR. Close minded dumb asses that can only see things their way. It's a damn shame. I wouldn't have a business if I had to only hire our kids.

Have you ever been to Cape Town or Johannesburg? I'd put those cities up against any US city. They are some of the wealthiest in the world too. Do you really want to compare them to shitholes like Detroit, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Gary Indiana, etc., etc.? Google is your friend. Why not google beautiful cities in Africa.
