I got the Nexus 6p for $500, great phone, and very durable. $650 is the most I'd pay for a phone.

moneyshot, we are cut from the same cloth my friend...that was the phone I just replaced last week!! I'm a ride it until it dies type of guy and had that Samsung Galaxy S3 for 5 years and it still worked but was getting very slow...Anyhow got this Moto E4 and am very happy with it and the price was right!!

I'll spend when I have to, but I don't see a phone as something that I should spend more than $200-$300 on..

If I remember correctly... Sprint offered Free Galaxy s3's on the Family Plan 7-8 years ago. It was unlimited texting... 200 anytime minutes per line.... and free calls after 7PM. Each line was $50.00 + Tax. 2 Year Contract. 4 People.... Bill was like $228.00 a month with taxes. So everyone paid like $57.00

After the contract was honored... everyone went their own separate ways. I still have my phone... I'm still with Sprint... and now I've been paying the last 3 years $25.00 unlimited talk/text and 1GB data on the Sprint Framily Plan... which is still honored and available if you request it. I have the code if anyone wants to save money.

So... to your original statement... paying $50.00 + Taxes for 2 years.... was a super great deal... and a great price for a phone... which was FREE.

Never buy a first generation Apple product. They’re using you as a guinea pig experiment to test new tech. 8S and XS will be out in 6 months and have all the wrinkles ironed out.

Apple junkies are some of the craziest, I don't get it. They could put these out for $2k (which will probably happen within 5 years) and people would go get a title loan on their car to pay for it. Kinda like why people pay $6 for Starbucks, it's all a status symbol.

Let me correct myself....I know it’s not worth it, but if it makes her happy, then life is better for me. Just wanting to make sure there are no red flags with the product.

This, a new laptop and a Vegas trip in Feb should earn me enough cred to book a guys trip to Vegas (either March Madness or another SBR poker trip).

Nice. For sure if that don't do it nothing will. I watched a good review on it. She doesn't need it but it's a want. I got no issue. My wife hardly ever wastes money. She deserves it. I'm sure in your case it's the same.

Doing some running around today so this will come in bits & pieces. I will say out of the box it's noticeably thinner than the 6+. Sharp looking phone though
