Mavs looking to avoid an 0-5 start and coming off an embarrassing loss with the Warriors player throwing a dunk off the backboard to himself. Grizzlies coming off a defeat of the Warriors and comeback win in Houston but the overall talent on Memphis is weak outside of Conley and Gasol.

Dallas comes out strong tonight. The first half could be worth a play as well but I'm on the full game spread and moneyline here.

GL man. Memphis D is easily the best in the NBA. Their style is to smother and run in transition. Let's hope Dirk found his legs because he doesn't look ready for the season yet. Neither does Barnes or Matthews. Maybe tonight will turn.

Dirk is washed but Dallas has professionals on their team. Barnes, Matthews, etc. I'm high on Dennis smith. As long as he can stay healthy he's going to be a stud. He's got Russell westbrook kind of explosiveness for a PG. He's going to be a good player in this league.

Agree, he's good. Dirk might be washed, but as sad as it is, he's probably the best player on the Mavs bro. Might take him a bit to get his legs back. Barnes and Matthews are pretty garbage. Neither has improved over the last 3 years. Barnes in particular. It takes him 20 shots to get 18 points.

I, too, played the Mavs this morning. Kept the bet small though because they haven't won yet (or come close) and Memphis hasn't lost. More motivation with Mavs in this one. These 2 teams play again tomorrow night in Memphis and whoever doesn't win tonight will probably cover the spread tomorrow.
