What am I missing? How does this not cash? Yankees have a full bullpen. Astros are shaken. They have an idiot manager who has no bullpen. They say it ain't a series till a road team wins. Well it won't be a series when the road team wins tonight.

#4Astros are playing tight. They could break out because let's face it they have some big time talent in that lineup but nothing has indicated they will emerge from this slump. I expect Verlander to pitch well again but all it takes is one mistake. If the Yankees have a lead by the sixth inning it's likely over. I think you have good value here.Comment -

#19Very tough call.. Verlander has been tough, Stros are now back at home.. Yankees are beatable on the road.. However, Yankees have completely grabbed the momentum in this series...Flip a coin..
I'm thinking Stros win tonight then lose in a game 7 maybe?Comment -

Who would you say has higher IQ hitters? Don't give a f about pitchers bullpen or managers. From 1-9 who would you say as the clutcher, higher-iq, keep the chain moving hitters? Especially at the 6, 7, 8, and 9 spots.

Royal hitters got to all of them when needed, in all the clutch moments

#32Royals' offense were the perfect anecdote to that team, and I cashed that series too. But I would not say that the series illustrates a general truth about baseball. The Royals also had the better bullpen. Baseball is the only sport where the offense reacts to the defense. It is the reason that when a batter faces a pitcher for the first time, the pitcher holds an edge and as the batter sees more of the pitcher, that edge wears away. Think 1st time though the batting order versus the third time through.Comment -

#33I honestly don't think so. I saw everyone on this board say the same thing about the Mets who had Harvey Syndarguard deGrom and Matz all who were top tier pitchers, all who could throw like 100 mph almost.

#34If you remember that postseason, the Mets beat the Cubs, who allowed at least 4 or more runs every game if I recall correctly. The Mets didn't have a better offense than the Cubs, they just faced a Cubs team that lacked pitching all around.Comment -

#35I generally gravitate to teams in October that have the better bullpens, speed, and can string together hits, instead of relying heavily on the long ball. Rotation matters too, but without the bullpen, the amount of innings that have piled up becomes a factor for most of the rotation.Comment
