LOL sure it's easy just pay your taxes. Until you own a business that is. Take your profits, try to grow the business. Tie your cash up in R&D and development. Oops business goes a little soft, S corp so all that flows through to your personal taxes. You owe ... no cash to pay.

The tax codes favor investing activities, not manufacturing. If you own a small mfg business you are always at risk.

There is no excuse for someone who has made as much money as Mayweather to need an installment plan. I also read he sent a 1099 to a strip club to try and deduct tips to strippers. WTF. If that's how he and his organization tries to operate he will be in jail again soon.

IRS is retarded too in general. Epitome of government waste and inefficiency. For example they were saying I owed for something I already paid. When you finally can reach someone on the phone they don't know what to do and try to transfer you until you just get tired of holding, so correspondence is mostly done through the mail. After they spent about $50 in postage they finally said that yes, I had already paid it.

Depending on how he's positioned he could stand to save millions if the requested is granted. This could have been the plan since 2015 or 2016, speculating as to what will grow...he is a gambler after all.

The other side of that coin is that he's flat out broke, but is there anything other than his request that indicates he's broke?

It sounds like the IRS doesn't think he's broke.

Perhaps he needs to be calling in favors from the banks instead of the IRS, and he probably will if the IRS doesn't comply.

I was just about to say the same thing. Even if he's a part owner, he should be able to write off a lot as promotions. Pretty easy to wash money with a club, restaurants, car wash, etc. Wish I had a clue.
