Planned Parenthood by law can't give money to political causes or candidates, it was a PAC that gave the money.

Exactly. A fundraising committee designed for political purposes. And they used that money for political purposes.

But if they can raise those kind of funds in its name, and then be essentially negligent in how they are used (so much for one seat in this environment is a joke, they were being political strategists on a failed train), maybe a second look should be taken.

Maybe the organization can survive and thrive without direct or even just less government funds, and maybe just some deductions and breaks.

I haven't seen the numbers, but it could become a lot like the climate agreement. If the gov't doesn't help, just look at how the people and large corporate leaders have stepped up and pledged to continue the terms of the agreement, and help the environment.

It's amazing what good can get done when major causes are put back into the hands of the people.

I wonder how many political donors to planned parenthood would actually donate to planned parenthood. The whole situation smells of corruption or at the very least and a misguided sense of purpose at best.

I suppose it's a general problem with things like PAC's.
