Large bet in Las Vegas sportsbook
    Hi guys,

im wanting to place a large bet in Las Vegas on the mayweather fight. Around 40k.

I work in the banking industry and wouldn't ever want my employer to find out that I placed this large of a bet if they were able to find out from a CTR beuf filed or something. What would you guys do here? Make multiple bets at several different casinos under 10k? Is this even something I should be concerned about?

any help here would be appreciated

There is something strange about this situation, are you using your employer's funds or something?

They'll probably be impressed by your guts if they find out. Gonna need the city you live in and name of the branch to give more specific advice though.

If your registered with the NASD you might have to show that extra income if it's big enough. Otherwise, your employer should never find out about a bet in Vegas, even with a CTR.

Spread the bets out pal and if you get lucky just tell him you won it playing craps...

I suppose as long as you don't show up to the Christmas party in a new Pink Caddy and a fur coat everything should be fine...

Doesn't want employer to know... he's funding the wager using company acct.

                                                    Good call Waterst.

                                                    For those who don't know...

Toronto bank employee Dan Mahowny (Philip Seymour Hoffman) seems like an honest man to his coworkers and loving girlfriend, Belinda (Minnie Driver). None of them realize that he is actually a compulsive gambler who steals from the bank's accounts to pay off his bookie, Frank (Maury Chaykin), and fund regular trips to casinos.
